In so many ways beloveds...for now I'll say that I take refuge in the Divine Mother daily, and I cover myself with the Armor of God. These are but a few of the ways.....

I have a process of grounding, welcoming all of my lineage to my day, Father/Mother GOD, Christ, MMary, AAngels and angels of all disciplines,
Ascended Masters, guides and guardians. I bring a ball of white light down through the many dimensions from my I AM Presence to and through my body and ground it to the Earth Mother 3 feet into her surface. I bisect it all with a Gold ray for Christ Consciousness and set my intention for the day. While it sounds lengthy, it takes only minutes.
Grounding is so important for any practice and I surely understand that is what is so abundant in nature and I love those settings also.

One of my most cherished ways to connect is through nature.....observing butterflies as they dance by, noting their delicate yet profound presence, taking note of the scrumptious fragrances that waft past, and watching as birds soar high and free.... mmmmm

I love meditating twice a day, its my church : ) Paul and I meditate together as much as we can. It connects us with Spirit, body, breath, especially with a little yoga beforehand to settle the bones.
We practice TM (www.tm.org)...me for 20 years, Paul for 38 years, woah! He's never missed a day. That's devotion. I'm inspired by his commitment to self and spirit every day. We love meditating in groups too, super powerful. What has YOU stay committed to self and spirit?

That's such a good question. I think I'm always praying, meaning I'm always speaking to the Universe (even if I'm not completely aware). Whether or not I'm receiving an answer however, is a completely different story. So for me, allowing myself time to *listen*, is a way for me to commune with Source. And that often entails something that has absolutely no agenda for me, like sitting in the sun on our front bench and watching the butterflies, taking walks without knowing where it is I'm going to end up.

An amazing free event is happening at Cabrillo College on April 25 (Earth week). Awakening the Dreamer, Changing the Dream symposium is a powerful mixed media presentation (through the non profit Pachamama Alliance) combining small group exercise, internal reflection and movie/video clips around the mission of bringing forth an environmentally sustainable, spiritually fulfilling and socially just human presence on this planet. Register at www.awakeningthedreamer.org or contact me for more information.

My name Sylvia means “Maiden of the Woods” and I’ve always felt at peace among the trees and in Nature. I love capturing the Spirit of a place through my nature photography, and often use close angles and light to give a unique perspective. I also use my photography to slow down and connect with Spirit. Even just a short walk in the park, listening to the wind in the trees and watching every little thing, so nourishing. Yum....
